We attended the 38th National Informatics Congress held by the Turkish Informatics Association on 16 – 17 December 2021 at the BTK Main Conference Hall as the Silver Sponsor.
Many managers and employees of the public and private sectors, industrialists and business people, academics, entrepreneurs and students participated in the event, the main theme of which was the “Digital Economy in New Normal”.
In the event, which was held with the slogan of "Technology and People", many panels were organized to ensure the sustainability, stability and competitiveness of the information sector and digital transformation ecosystem. In this context, our Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ahmet Hamdi ATALAY, took part in the "Policy and Strategies for Digital Turkey" session. In his speech, Mr. Ahmet Hamdi ATALAY stated that digital transformation was a "Transformation and Development" process consisting of 3 stages and stated these stages as follows:

{C}2- {C}Electronicization of processes (Digitalization)
{C}3- {C}Transformation of Business Models and ways of doing business (Digital Transformation).
Emphasizing that the digital transformation process has 3 components, Mr. ATALAY said, “These are the technology dimension (digitalization of infrastructure and tools), strategy, policy and processes dimension and human dimension.” In addition, emphasizing that Turkey is one of the leading countries in the world in some areas of digitalization, Mr. ATALAY stated that we were an example to the world in the health and banking sector. Stating that AKGÜN Technology, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, is the pioneer of Turkey's digital transformation in health, Mr. ATALAY underlined that this should be expanded to other sectors as well.
Emphasizing that "Digital transformation is an irreversible journey", Mr. ATALAY said that the most important weakness in this regard was "qualified human resources". In addition, our Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors said, “Our education system absolutely needs new approaches in this regard”.
